Newspaper Article: Obituary for Ada Emma McCann
Ada Emma McCann died yesterday afternoon at Beverly Manor Convalescent Hopital in Monterey after a period of failing health. She was 92. Mrs. McCann was born in Stillwater, Minn., Dec. 31, 1883. She taught in the Duluth, Minn., schools for several years before her marriage and moving to California. She had been a resident of Monterey since 1968. Her husband, Darrell McCann, died in Seattle in 1938. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Merle Robertson of Pebble Beach; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Erdman Memorial Chapel of Robert Louis Stevenson School in Pebble Beach, with the Rev. C. E. Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in El Carmelo Cemetery, Pacific Grove. The Paul Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. |
